Patience is a Virtue

May 17, 2013

I’ve noticed when it comes to thrifting, if I visualize something that I want and put it out there psychologically/telepathically, eventually it comes to me in some form.  I always do this with many a number of items from clothes to fabric to house hold items.

Last summer I saw a dress form at a local thrift store that was on the larger size. I already have an antique one that used to belong to my great-aunt, but it is SMALL. I debated buying it, decided to think about it, and when I went back it was (of course) GONE.  So, since last summer I have been on the hunt for one in a thrift store (because I’m CHEAP and don’t want to pay full price for one).

Today, I made one (of many) of my usual thrift store visits and low and behold–what’s sitting there waiting for me? A DRESS FORM. Royal blue, larger sized, adjustable, and in good condition. All for $24.99 + $5 off coupon!  See how the power of positive thinking works? It may take a while, but eventually you’ll get what you want!

 Patience is a virtue.
