“Good times come and good times go,
I only wish the good times would last a little longer.”

-Story of My Life, Social Distortion

The original post that this photo shoot was featured in was entitled, “Close Your Eyes and It’s Past…” posted almost exactly 2 years ago.  I had been living back in California for a little over a year and it was right around the time of my ten year high school reunion. I was also living back in my home town, working on this blog and The Curvy Elle Shop, single, and looking to see where life was going to lead me.

Not too long after this, I met the man who would become my husband and father to my soon-to-be baby girl. I headed down a new and different path. A path that I knew I always wanted, but I wasn’t sure when or if it would happen.

I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time — if not ever. Sometimes, you are walking down one path and then before you even realize it, you’re walking down a completely new and beautiful one. I am incredibly thankful that my life changed so much. It happened in a blink of an eye — and it shows that nothing in life is ever set in stone and it is (almost) never too late for things to change…

Out Takes: In The Shade

These Out Takes come from a photo shoot originating in a post entitled, “Summertime Blues” posted on June 28, 2013. I miss this overgrown backyard at my dad’s house. Taking pictures in the shade with all my dogs bugging me while photo bombing my shots (find the dog butt in one of the above pictures?). Now, that backyard is missing the big shady tree that my dad had to have cut down and combined with the severe California drought, a lot of the foliage has dried up. It’s not the same backyard I grew up with until just a few years ago… But, that’s life, things never stay quite the same forever.
