Like Me & I’ll Like You

September 2, 2012

“Like me and I’ll like you back!”–but, I know that you know that we may never actually bother with each other or read each others blogs. You’re just a number. I’m just a number.  And it’s all just a game.

Is it just me or is the mutual liking/following/etc. back and forth become almost spam like? It seems that some people act a little entitled about it.

I (personally) want someone to follow me in any form because they like my blog, my shop, and/or think I have something interesting to say. The same goes for me when I visit a fellow blogger.

I am always about quality versus quantity. I am, also, all for supporting each other when we believe in what we are supporting. I’d rather have 20 loyal readers/followers, than 1,000 mutual ‘likes.’

My question to my fellow bloggers: what is your view on mutual liking/following in the mass proportion that it has become?

NYC Day 1: 3 Coffee Day

September 2, 2012

Yes, today was a 3 iced coffee kinda day (plus a diet coke)! Looking at that picture makes me want a fourth iced coffee–man, that looks good!

A VERY tired me this morning.

Yesterday (travel day), I had to wake up at 3:30am to make it to my 7am flight. The two days before that I didn’t sleep much. To add insult to injury, when we get to New York, the air conditioning in our room doesn’t work. So, again not much sleep.

Bunk Bed Room at The Jane.

We were trying to get by on the cheap, so we booked a room at The Jane, which is an old hotel that used to be for sailors to stay at when their ships docked in New York. The rooms are very cabin like (aka tiny, even by New York Standards). The Jane is a glorified hostel. It has been renovated, and very cutely done, but when you add the bad AC and someone who is somewhat high maintenance (yes, me!)–you end up with a very unhappy person! Tomorrow we change hotels! Yes, siree!

Even with the exhaustion, it was been a very nice day filled with The Met, yummy iced coffees (X3), and John’s Pizza!

Tomorrow: Salvation Army thrifting and the Tenement Museum!
